Ask · AI answers with sources

Ask the question. Read the source.

Ask questions about your documents — one document, a folder or a whole collection. The answer names the passage it read; open it and check, because AI can misread a document.

Ask comes with every plan: 5 AI credits a month on Personal, 50 on Family and 150 on Professional, per account. Compare plans →

What Ask sends,
and what it never touches.

To answer, Ask sends your question and the passages it found to the AI service KuduDoc uses.

The Vault is never read.

Your separately encrypted Vault is left out of Ask, and so are documents still out for signing. Nothing in them is searched or cited.

Questions
people ask.

Can I ask questions about a PDF?
Yes, on every plan. Ask one PDF, a folder, a collection or your whole Library. The answer lists the passages it read, with the document, page and quote, so you can open each one and check it. A scanned PDF needs OCR first. The Vault and documents still out for signing are never searched.
Which plans include Ask?
Every plan. Each account gets AI credits every month: 5 on Personal, 50 on Family and 150 on Professional, and the paid plans each have a 14-day trial. Questions about dates and finding documents use no credits on any plan.
How much does KuduDoc cost?
Personal is free, with no card and no expiry date. Family is $6 a month ($57 a year) and Professional is $12 ($120), per occupied seat, with a 14-day trial. Documents you have already sent are not affected by a plan change.
Is one credit one question?
Yes, for answers the AI writes: each uses one credit, however long the document. Asking when something expires, finding a document, or a question nothing in your documents matches uses none. Making a scan searchable (OCR) uses credits per page.
Can I rely on the answer without opening the source?
Open the citation first. Read the words around it and any exception or cross-reference it mentions: they can change what the answer means.
