Document custody · Europe

Your documents. For work. For life.

Sign, seal and keep the documents your work and life run on, across borders and under your own control. Each finished file gets a fingerprint and a timestamp, so anyone can check that a copy is unchanged since sealing, free and without an account.

Personal is free, with no card and no expiry date.

Start with the document that matters most.

Pick one. The page follows it: who signs, what gets sealed, which date is watched, and what you can ask it.

What KuduDoc does with a lease

  1. Tenant and landlord sign, in that order.
  2. Sealed the moment the last signature lands.
  3. The renewal on 31 October 2026 is watched.
  4. Ask what clause 8 says about notice.

More on each: Leases and move-in inspections Policies and school forms at home IDs, passports and licence renewals

01Sign

Everyone signs, in the order you set.

The tenant signs first, then the landlord — each from a link on their own device.

Place the fields, add a witness where you need one, and KuduDoc reminds whoever is still waiting.

02Seal

Sealed. The exact bytes, fingerprinted.

The moment the last signature lands, KuduDoc takes a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file, adds a certification signature and a certificate page, and anchors the time with OpenTimestamps. The kdid goes on the page.

Its public seal id, the kdid, goes on the certificate page, with a QR link any recipient can use to check the file.

03Keep

Filed in the Library, beside what explains it.

The lease goes into the 12 Oak Avenue collection, beside the deposit receipt and the inspection record.

The other records arrive by email to your own KuduDoc address or straight from your phone, and tags find them again across collections.

04Watch

31 October 2026 is already in the diary.

KuduDoc reads the dates off your documents and suggests them; you confirm each one. Reminders go out 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before, by default — or the days you choose — and never during your quiet hours.

05Ask

Ask it a question. Read the source.

Ask answers from your own documents and opens the passage it used, so you read the clause yourself before you rely on it.

06Check · years later

Years later, anyone can check it.

A new landlord, a lender, a lawyer: whoever holds the file drops it on the public checker. It is free and needs no account. A match means the file is unchanged since it was sealed.

Unchanged since sealing. The fingerprint matches the sealing record.

Changed. The bytes differ from the sealed record. One re-save is enough to change them.

No matching record. No record matches this exact fingerprint. The checker cannot tell a never-sealed file from an altered one. No match does not establish tampering.

Why KuduDoc

Which copy is the real one? KuduDoc keeps the answer.

Documents cross borders by email, chat and download, and a PDF can be edited in minutes, by hand or with AI, and still look right. KuduDoc keeps the finished file and the evidence that goes with it, and our privacy notice covers the GDPR.

  • One copy that counts.

A sealed document can be issued as a Controlled Original. The registry records exactly one current controller, and copies issued from it are marked as copies, with a live status link.

    How sealing works
  • Proof it hasn’t changed.

Each sealed file carries a SHA-256 fingerprint of its exact bytes, a certification signature and a timestamp anchor. Anyone can drop a copy on the public checker, free and without an account.

    Check a sealed file
  • Edited and fake PDFs.

A copy edited by hand or with AI can look identical, but it no longer matches its fingerprint. For a document KuduDoc did not seal, ask the organisation that issued it.

How to tell if a document is fake
  • Clients across borders.

Each signer signs on their own device from an email link, with a free KuduDoc account. In eIDAS terms these are simple electronic signatures, not qualified ones; KuduDoc keeps the evidence of who signed, when, and that the file is unchanged since.

    How signing works
  • Found again years later.

Keep each record in your Library beside the papers that explain it. Confirm the expiry dates on passports, visas, insurance and contracts, and KuduDoc emails you 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before.

    Expiry reminders
  • Your data, kept private.

Our privacy notice covers the GDPR and the UK GDPR. The Vault is encrypted on your device with its own passphrase, the checker reads your PDF on your device, and a timestamp sends only the fingerprint, never the document.
